Frequently Asked Questions - Business Cards

Why are Artwork costs shown separately?
If you've ordered cards, or any other stationery for that matter, and have paid the artwork costs then decided to re-order at a later date then, providing there are no changes to the artwork, you would then need only to pay the standard print costs. If there are changes to the artwork the next time you order, then we would only charge for the plate(s) that have been affected. For instance, you may have a 3 colour card where the logo is red & blue, but all other text is in black. If you change something that only affects the text then you would be charged for that film/plate only. (In this case the black plate only).

In the costing chart for business cards why do we list 200 cards then jump to 500?
Basically 1 box = 200 cards.
500 cards would be spilt across 3 boxes.

Can I see samples of your work?
Certainly! Just telephone, fax or email us and we will gladly send you relevant samples. You can also request samples below:

A new salesman has just joined our company. How soon can you deliver?
We normally specify 7 working days to turn jobs around, (from acceptance/approval of artwork proofs), but we do understand there could be a desperate need for a quicker delivery. In these cases we would endeavour to get the job to you as quickly as possible.

I've done my own design. Can I send it to you in Microsoft Word?
Yes, but we would probably have to re-set it using our own professional layout program with the relevant crop/trim marks. Please note: if you do decide to send a Word file, you will need to save separately any graphics/logos used. Microsoft Word embeds images as low-res (72dpi) so it is important to give us the original separately. If sending any colour pics, these need to be converted from RGB to CMYK. We can do this for you at no cost.

Payment Terms - when do I pay and how?
Payment will need to be arranged before any work commences.
Once you have approved your artwork/design we will then proceed to print and once the job is ready for despatch we will contact you for your delivery details. The goods will then be immediately despatched.

If paying by cheque then this would have to be received with the order (please allow 7 days for clearance). We will not despatch goods until the cheque has been cleared.

All major credit/debit cards are also accepted and this would be the preferred payment if you are in a rush to receive your goods.

What are the legal requirements concerning stationery in general? What must be printed?
